What to Look for in a Cloud Migration Partner

Cloud migration projects tend to fail for the same handful of reasons: no clear rollback plan, underestimated data-transfer time, or a "lift and shift" that just moves old problems onto newer, more expensive infrastructure.

A migration plan worth trusting should cover, at minimum:

A full inventory of what's actually running today — including the undocumented scripts nobody wants to admit are load-bearing.
A phased cutover plan with a tested rollback path at every stage.
A clear point at which "migrated" becomes "optimized" — moving a mess to the cloud just makes it an expensive mess.

The goal isn't just to move infrastructure. It's to come out the other side with something easier to run than what you started with.
